TD Ameritrade StrategyDesk

My brokerage firm for long time was TD Ameritrade (Datek, AmeriTrade). Last year I switched to Wellstrade because I wanted to consolidate all my accounts (checking, mortgage and trading) and they offered 100 free trades per year (which was more than enough for me because I traded less in the past).

Now, after almost a year with Wellstrade, I want to switch again. Possibly going back to TDAmeritrade because Wellstrade simply sucks! They don't provide any trading tools, not even, streaming Java applet!
And my experience with their customer service so far has been the worst.

I'm considering TDAmeritrade again because the list of investment tools they provide. And, my favorite QuoteTracker has full support for TDAmeritrade.

One of the tool they offer is called StrategyDesk. It can be used for back testing any trading strategy and screening stocks. It also has support for charting and integrated trading.

In my future posts, I plan to post my experience with this tool particularly in the area of back testing. I'm no expert in back testing. I am not an experienced trader either. So, I'm going to learn back testing by test driving this tool.
